Cesare Prandelli rewarded the courage and integrity of Simone Farina from Gubbio (Serie B) with a February 2012 call-up for the potential friendly with the USA in Genoa. Farina turned down and reported an offer of 200,000 euro by a former Roma youth team teammate, Alessandro Zamperini, to fix (influence the goalkeeper and defenders) during Cesena v. Gubbio on 30 November 2011 in the Italian Cup:

Team captain of the Azzurri, Gigi Buffon, on the courage and example of Simone Farina:

Franco Baldini of AS Roma said that his new Spanish manager, Luis Enrique, has not become "Italianized":

Francesco Totti of AS Roma on his outburst after the game with Juventus at Stadio Olimpico a few weeks ago:

Alessandro Del Piero of Juventus FC had an early Christmas gift and sees blue skies ahead for his side in 2012:
